Maud Hodson

Maud moved to Todmorden with her family in summer 2024. She works in music publishing, and studied music at Manchester University & King’s College London. Maud has Grade 5 or above on ten different instruments, including diplomas on both violin and cello.

She was principal cello of London Schools’ Symphony Orchestra in the late 1980s, and since then has led many cello sections and some second violin sections, even occasional viola and bass sections.

This will be her first time leading an orchestra, and she is very excited about taking on this new challenge. Maud plays in several chamber groups and gives solo recitals locally, and also plays trombone with Todmorden Community Brass Band. Away from music, she is a member of Todmorden Harriers and has run 81 marathons and over 400 parkruns.
