Todmorden Orchestra is a symphony orchestra based in the Pennine town of Todmorden – a place with a long tradition of music making.
The orchestra is conducted by Nicholas Concannon Hodges and is a thriving part of Todmorden’s cultural life, with a loyal following. We perform with some of the UK’s most talented soloists at Todmorden’s magnificent, Grade I-listed Town Hall.
Our leader is Andrew Rostron, and our players come from Todmorden and beyond, from Manchester to Halifax.
We can arrange for small chamber groups of players from the orchestra to provide background and light music entertainment for both formal and informal events.
We rely on a mix of player membership fees, tickets sales, patrons and fundraising to host our concert series and to bring talented young soloists to Todmorden. Donations – large or small – are very welcome and help us to continue to make music in Todmorden.
